I recently started going to SRC to see Dr. Laura for a chronic tight hamstring. As a competitive distance runner, I was becoming very frustrated with this nagging injury that was keeping me from running hard workouts. I had been receiving massage treatments, icing, taping etc. but nothing seemed to help. I feel like there's a stronger orientation (and success rate) at Sports Reaction Center to getting an athlete back in the game than at other physical therapists. For example, I called one afternoon after having seen two doctors earlier in the week for a burning pain above my ankle that was getting worse every time I ran. I had my first triathlon of the season coming up in 4 weeks and it looked like best case I'd have to shuffle through the run, and more likely, wouldn't be able to compete at all. I had chronic shin splints for over a year.....I went to Sports Reaction Center for and within a couple of weeks my shin splints gone. Neil and the staff were awesome!!!
I've been to a number of different physical therapy locations before and Sports Reaction Center is hands down the best. Everyone on their staff is awesome, knowledgeable, supportive, friendly... the list goes on! I always feel like they actually care about my progress and my goals for recovery rather than just doing things by the numbers. Clearly I have found the place to go the next time I bang/tear/break something spectacularly. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone I know!
I am a professional runner and am always needing help with aches and pains. I was looking for advice on my foot that was giving me lots of trouble and was finally recommended to Neil at Sports Reaction. He has been so helpful in my return to racing.
