Gigantic. This palce is a huge sporting goods warehouse. If you are looking for something in particular check this out. If you want to browse and ask questions it may be hard to get the help you need. So you should figure out what you need before hand and you can probably find it here at the right price.
Great Place! This is a wonderful store filled wioth some great deals and some not so great deals. The people are friendly and low-key. Frankly, they aren't all 'experts' like this store's marketing would have you believe so be prepared to do your own research before and while shopping (which is why it is 4 stars instead of 5). Good sports store I really like the new location of Sports Basement in the Presidio. They have some awesome deals on shoes and have lots of selection. They also have clothes, camping equimpent, and other sports equipement at lower prices than other stores.
Great selection Sports Basement is a great place to buy everything you may need to plan a camping or backpacking trip. I also love going there to buy my running clothes and shoes because they always hav good stuff on sale! Staff is very friendly too.
A big, funky warehouse near Pac Bell Park. They sell performance sports gear at outlet prices. Prices are not really low, but they're cheaper than full price. A great place for boarders, cyclists, runners, triathletes, hikers, swimmers, backpackers, etc. They give out coupons frequently at running events. They have lectures and speakers, too.
Sports Basement Rocks Can't beat the discounts and deals. The staff is nice and they are incredibly community-oriented. They also are good at applying the principles of reduce, reuse, recycle.
Sports Basement I have bought a lot of sporting goods in this store such as Spalding basketball, Wilson tennis balls and rackets, baseball mittens, bowling balls, and running shoes. More importantly, the staff are friendly and helpful if you ask them a question. Their selection of goods are great and up to date. They also have clearance sales for a lot of items.
Great Return Policies! Sports Basement has it all, and I'm most impressed by their great return policy on running shoes. I bought a pair and went running in them. After about 10-15 miles, I discovered they just weren't the right fit. Sports Basement very generously gave me a full refund. I like that they wanted to work with me to find the right shoe.
Customer Service I found the prices and selection great. I did have some backorders, and the reps e-mailed and phoned to make sure the order was correct. They also upgraded my shipping to free overnight delivery and gave me 20% off my next order. I will definitely be back when I need more triathlon gear.
