Talked with Mr. Marty for close to a year before making the 6.5 hour drive from Louisiana. Every time I emailed I got a quick response and a great one at that. My pup is from (preacher and cedar) and I can't be more happy with the outcome of Finn. She's a excellent dog to train and I've honestly never seen a lab behave as well as she does in the house. Marty is a wonderful dog trainer and a better person. I brought home Jesse three years ago from SLK and she is a great dog. She duck hunts and behaves very well at home. If you want a hunting dog, and a faithful friend, then please call Marty and reserve you a pup and let him start it for you. Just remember, Marty breeds British labs and not American labs. Two months ago we dropped off our very sweet but hardheaded and energetic 7 month old Lab puppy, Ellie, for obedience training at SLK. Last week we picked up a much calmer and very well trained 9 month old Ellie. Marty spent almost two hours training us on her new skills. Seeing the bond that developed between the two of them was remarkable. Life with Ellie at home is so easy now! I purchased a pup {Mack} from SLK 3 years ago. He has turned out to be the best dog I have ever owned as a hunter and companion. I also have referred six friends to SLK and everyone of them bought a pup and everyone of them say it's the best dog they have ever owned. I contribute that to good breeding and good training. Keep the breed going Marty!!!
