Sport Clips allows walk-ins, yet I was repeatedly pressured to use my personal phone to check in instead of the in-store touchscreen, despite that system being available and functional. I completed the in-store check-in and appeared 4th in queue on the screen. Without explanation, my status was later changed to “returning” and my name was grayed out, after which customers who arrived after me (with no appointments) were called ahead of me. I showed up in the store more than a half hour before it closed. The wait time on their app was 0 minutes (so I did not reserve a spot) and a sign in the window indicated that there was no wait time. When I entered the store, there was at least one stylist not helping anyone (and there was no one waiting on a haircut).
