RecommendedWell! I booked the Spirit of NJ through Goldstar and the boat was to leave from Weehawken. It was our 4th wedding anniversary and we had our 3-year-old in tow. We got to the dock about 15 minutes before boarding and NO BOAT. We called Spirit, who couldn't initially locate our reservation because I had a Goldstar reservation number. The service was terrible and the food was cold. We paid for the Platinum package, but they said due to COVID-19 everyone received the same benefits. Even though we spent a couple hundred dollars extra for nothing. Our cruise boarding time was pushed back from 5:30 PM to 7:30PM but they never let us know. Also, that meant we lost 2 hours of open bar. Because of COVID-19 we weren’t allowed to go to the bar, so in the first hour and a half we had 2 drinks. We planned a bachelorette party for my friend this past weekend. It was raining and cold, and we were worried we made a poor decision. That is until we got on the boat. From the minute we got on, the service was impeccable. They had rose petals on the table for my friend and at the end even gave her a bouquet of roses!
