All they want to do is give a facet epidural or injection of some sort that doesn't help the pain after a couple of days. Between what I owed and my insurance payed, it ran about $700 each time. The call back nurse tried to help me..the doctor could care less.
they are friendly their waiting room is small in the ER and they took me in first and took care of me really well when I had that stomach virus
I've heard Dr Spruill is a great doc, but the process is screwed up! If there's something I hate, it's being lied to. I was told it would take 3-5 days to get authorization for a MRI. I was told a request was sent to insurance on Monday, but when I called my insurance company Wednesday, no request had been sent to them. I waited an entire week in pain for an epidural approval. I went into this hospital because I had the same headache for 2 days and my tongue had gone numb on the left side. When the dr came in he asked for a urine sample. I also had a lymphnode on the back of my ear that I told him about. He told me nothing was wrong and I had a UTI. I asked about the numbness of my tongue and the lymphnode and he said it was nothing. June 8th 2014 my husband took our daughter to the ER here at Northport DCH and she was seen by physician DAVID HUBBS for a wet cough. He was informed she was 6 weeks premature, 4.5 months old, and sounded like she had croup by her great grandmother who has 3 daughters, 5 grandsons, and 3 great granddaughters. My girl and i sat in this very hospital.. FOREVER!!!!!! We've died TWICE... ABSOLUTELY the worst hospital ive been too!!!!!!! Do better.. guess ill wait 5 more hrs....smh..unacceptable...
The staff and nurses are fantastic compared to big dch. Very nice and caring.
my mother is a patient (as I type this) at Northport Medical Center in Northport, Al. This hospital needs a lesson in etiquette and classes on 'TREATING PATIENTS". The staff is a laugh as far as taking care of the patients needs and ailments. I can hear two other rooms with patients screaming for help and to top this off, there is only about 30 rooms in the two wings on the 2nd. floor. There has to be at least 5 nurses (maybe more) with LPN's and PNA's also, so that leaves about one employed person to about 1 to 2 patients. ... read more
