Horrible restaurant, great view of the beach – My husband was embarrassed to have chosen this "treat" for our anniversary. We couldn't decide what was worse, the cold, poorly prepared food or the cold, poorly coordinated service. Or the outrageous prices. This place is downright obnoxious.
Spiced Pear overlooking Newport Beach Spiced Pear is a restaurant in an old mansion on Newport's famous Cliffwalk. Intimate dining and exquisite setting. I would recommend the tasting menu - five course. Expect to pay more for this impeccable restaurant. Tremendous wine list and service was outstanding. Highly recommended!
disappointing overrated food – It was our Anniversary and we decided to do a beautiful dinner at the Spiced Pear. We had been looking forward to it for a while. We go out fine dining quite a bit and we didn't think that this place would disappoint. The atmosphere is great- we went on a Friday night for the fantastic jazz in the veranda room. Outstanding! – The food and service were outstanding! Gorgeous setting, views. Very upscale. Can't wait to go back. We went during the week for dinner and loved it. The terrace is a great spot for drinks on a warm summer night.
