I have always like Sperry Tree Care in the past but this time I thought the bid was a bit high and even asked why this minor pruning was more than the last time that was a major pruning. He said he thought it would be 4 guys for around 4-5 hours of work. They never offered me time and materials and I did not know that was an option. Well it was three guys for 3 hours (so 9 man hours instead of 20). They reduced the bid by $194 (from $1950 to $1756) and told me I should be grateful for the $194 discount. We had four cypress trees come down during the February 2019 storm. Three of them were either on the roof, leaning on the house or across the fence. We knew we had fence damage and gutter damage, but we could not see the roof to know whether or not a tree branch had pierced the roof. We called Sperry right after the storm ended. Within 48 hours they had someone here to evaluate the damage and give us an estimate. 36 hours after that...the crew was here doing the removal. Sperry Tree Care were lowest estimate. They were very knowledgeable and did an expert job. The site was very muddy making the job more difficult. They even came back and spread grass seed! We highly recommend them for your tree needs.
We just had a huge 50-foot ponderosa pine cut down in the corner of our front yard today. The Sperry crew was incredible! They did a fantastic and professional job. They cleaned up the yard and street so well you couldn't even tell the work had been done, and they even cleaned up the few limbs that fell in our neighbor's yard. All of the wood was neatly piled on the side of our yard for us to split and use in our fireplace.
