Super calm as he broke the news to me that I was getting my spleen removed within the next 15 minutes, he reassured me that it’s super common and I had nothing to worry about. High stress situation for me and he made it feel like routine wednesday. If I had another spleen there’s no one else I’d want taking it out. Truly a life saver.
Dr. Sperry couldn’t save my brothers life back in 2007 when he was brought to UPMC after being shot 7 times. Fast forward 10 years later in December of 2017 he was able to save my sons life after he too was shot. Thank you Dr. Sperry for trying your hardest in 2007. Thank you for doing your best and succeeding in 2017.
Dr. Sperry is an excellent Surgeon. He removed 2/3 of my small intestines that had died due to lack of blood flow. After following his protocol i am now doing well. I’m able to eat again and stopped the IV nutrition treatments. He also has a great sense of humor and excellent bedside manner.
He may not be be good with bedside manner that doesn't compare to being a LIFE SAVING SURGEON !!!
