Dr Dunaway has been an excellent dermatologist. He is very knowledgeable and thorough, giving me plenty of his time. And yes, he is very personable.
I don’t write reviews often, but Dr. Dunaway and his entire team absolutely deserve one. Like another reviewer, I initially noticed the 1-star review while looking up the office on Google Maps, and after my own experience, I genuinely don’t understand it. I personally see more than 10 medical specialists and, throughout my career, I’ve worked with hundreds of physicians. Dr. Dunaway is so so based on my personal experience seeing him for numerous times. He seems chilled/laid-back despite working in a clinical setting with high stress from interacting with various patients. He would greet and shake hands whenever he walks in. However, his communication and bedside manner are quite unsympathetic, often causing a worsening patient to feel hurt. This straightforward personality may or may not be every patient’s cup of tea.
Read the previous 1-star review and immediately had to come to his defense. I've seen him twice and he always exuded professionalism and empathy.
I had an appointment with him,and when he walked in the room he did not speak,or introduce himself and acted like he did not want to be bothered,and did not want to even touch me or was concerned with what I had to say or any questions I had,and then he and his nurse rushed me out. I was not there for more than 5-6 minutes,I was very hurt ,disappointed and felt very disrespected.
