DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Not only was it a rip off for an oil change ($40 for a standard oil change), but they screwed up my transmission. My car was running fine before I took it to Speedee. Two weeks after I got my oil changed, transmission fluid started leaking. When I took it to a shop they told me the hose had been compromised and the damage caused the hose to leak. Almost $200 later I got my car back. The guys at Speedee are the only ones that have worked on my car in months. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!
Beware! – When my daughter had her oil changed here, they did not secure the plug. It fell out along the highway and her engine blew up! At this writing, she has gone weeks without her car while their insurance claims adjuster drags his feet. I will be documenting this at: SPEEDEEOIL with dot info instead of dot com.
SpeeDee-Nothing Rates Worse In Daly City – No STARS are Deserved The Owner Manager is the most IGNORANT BASTARD i have ever had the dis-pleasure of being close to. He would not work on my car based on me not having the further work needed dealer recommendation papers. His workers were sitting around doing nothing and he did not want my business after giving me a price. TRIED TO SCAM ME – About two weeks ago I brought my car to get Spee-Dee to check it out and see why I was losing power and couldn't get up to speed on the highways. I am a law student and was busy with a paper at that time and couldn't do it myself. I had previously taken it to Advance Auto when my check engine light came on. The Most Unprofessional Staff – On Saturday 6/3/2010 I took my vehicle to a SpeeDee franchise located at 4001 Veterans Hwy in Metairie at roughly 4pm, whereas I asked to have the vehicle services with an oil change and overall checkup as I was going to drive it out of town for 3 weeks. Just took my car there for an oil change and tire rotation. Service was quick. They were very polite to me and didn't push any of the add-ons, though I did take them up on the tire rotation. I watched them go out of there way to help another customer. They didn't stock his air filter (which was filthy and needed to be changed), but told him where to get it. Lost our business – I have been a customer since this business first opened and have been pleased with the service until now. On Saturday morning my daughter took her car in for a routine oil change & fluids check. The written report said that everything was fine [including the transmission fluid]. GREAT SERVICE – kfredericks...please learn how to spell. This was the best service that I've ever encountered! They were fast and the tv was not loud. The cashier lady was very friendly and they know how to take care of their customers. I recommend you come her to Speedee in Milpitas!
Be prepared to wait – SpeeDee is not speedy at all - more like Slowee. I came in on my lunch break for an oil change and needed a bulb in my headlight. They told me it would be 20-25 minutes. An hour later, no one had come out to talk to me so I asked for a status update. The technician came out and told me that I needed a new bulb. I told him that I kew that and had requested one when I first pulled up. He said it would be another 10-15 minutes to gt the bulb from their warehouse.
