My wife who's 9 months pregnant had her car stolen. The police found it and took it to this scumbag company. It hadn't been there more than 2 hours and they wanted $210! I understand if they impounded the car or towed it for some parking issue but this is different. As if we weren't violated enough by the thief who stole the car (which, by the way, contained our personal property for our impending overnight stay at the hospital which was also stolen), these criminals needed to profit off our misfortune too. Bogus Parking Tickets Issued. I parked out front for 5 mins, because I forgot my key card in my apt. When I walked back out, I had one of their "Parking citiations" on my windshield. When I called and inquired about it, I was told I would have to come in and pay a fine for my "ticket", no leeway what so ever, and then when I inquired about the parking codes, I was met with very colorful langauge. Overcharged and Lied To. – I would not even give this company a negative star they were so bad. My car was towed and stored for 1 week until I was able to get the car out. When I went to pay the amount, they wanted to charge me for 10 days instead of 9, which then allowed then to charge a "lien sale" fee, which was an additional $70. They never provided any proof this was done when I asked. I was then told there was no manager present to speak with and the owner was not there either. BAD BUSINESS – I wouldn't even give the one star, but none is not an option. Specialty towing is the most unethical business practices- EVER! They towed my car (which is not made to be towed), dragging it out of the apartment complex, racing over speed bumps. They charged me SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS to get my car back. Crooks! And whats up with the fees – I had my car, registered and everything just a bit dirty directly in front of my office. Next day car was not there. I find out it was towed so i go to Specialty Towing and wow those people seemed like such Aholes! rude. SPECIALTY TOWING ARE CROOKS BAD FOR CITY OF CORONA. DONT USE – They illegally towed my truck because their driver was "fishing" which is illegal and my homeowners association told me they did not give any authorization or get notified whatsoever, I even put a note on my window with my phone number asking to be called if it needed to be moved, there were no parking spots avaliable. Honest and Professional – My wife was involved in a motor vehicle accident while traveling in Corona. The Corona Police Department called Specialty Towing to assist and a tow truck driver named Ed arrived, within minutes Ed had my wife off the side of the road and in a safe place. I just cant express how professional and competent the driver and staff of Specialty Towing was during our time of need. I would suggest Specialty if in Corona to anyone for great service.
