I am bilingual, and during my stay at Sparks by Hilton on North Walker, I overheard the housekeepers making racist and derogatory comments about me while they were cleaning a room across the hall — completely unaware that I could understand them. As a person of color, this experience made me feel disrespected and singled out. I expected better from a Hilton property and was deeply disappointed by how poorly I was treated.

I had an extremely distressing experience at this hotel. During my stay, some of my personal belongings went missing from my room. When I reported it to the front desk, the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful. I expected professionalism, but instead, I was met with what felt like clear racial bias and discriminatory behavior from certain staff members. As I was about to check in at Sparks by Hilton on North Walker, I witnessed hotel staff having a heated argument with a woman who looked like she was checking out. My stay at Sparks by Hilton on North Walker was very disappointing. The room wasn’t properly cleaned, the toilet paper was used, and the pillowcases looked dirty. No one ever came to change the sheets after I asked. It was also difficult to communicate with housekeeping since they didn’t speak English. PSA for People of Color – Horrible Experience, Racism, and Theft at Sparks by Hilton (North Walker) I’ve been a loyal Hilton Honors member for years, staying at various Hilton properties, but my experience at Sparks by Hilton, North Walker has been absolutely appalling.
