Our room smelled like dogs had lived there for 6 years straight. One stairwell smelled so badly of chemicals (chlorine, straight alcohol, or something similar), I had to avoid using that staircase. It just seemed overall sorry and old (with new paint for "Spark"). We arrived late and had to get the kids to bed, so there was no room moving. I can't complain about this place. I only stayed for one night and I had a very good rest. The place is really clean. The breakfast is very good. Without a doubt, on my next visit to Michigan, I will definitely stay here again.
Crazy how you can book a room at 18 but can’t check in unless your 21, fix your app, terrible guest services, and the breakfast was trash, if I’m paying that much a night I expect a better experience
I’m honestly conflicted on how to rate this hotel. Overall it wasn’t a terrible experience aside from when I first arrived. The rooms were clean aside from some of the amenities not being filled. Our room did not have an ice bucket or a safe. But my main issue was when i first arrived. I booked a non refundable room and upon doing so I had to enter my birthdate(2005) at no point during the reservation process did it say that my age was not eligible. Was staying with my mom. Walked outside and fell on a pothole. My hands, knees and elbow was scrapped. I was offered 2 tiny bandaid for my bleeding elbow and had to pay for full size bandaid and ointment. Went to my first room, room key didn't work at all. Asked for new keys, they swiped me in with a master key and still didn't work. We had asked for adjoining rooms, and ended up moving rooms multiple times.
