Had to put down a deposit…it took months to get deposit back. Rooms are clean and comfortable but won’t go back due to the hassle with the deposit.
The recently renovated hotel offers excellent value for the price. I recommend choosing a room on the side opposite the highway to avoid road noise; otherwise, it is a commendable option for an overnight stay.
For $117 (including tax), this was a solid hotel. Double Queen room was large and clean and included a mini-fridge/freezer. We checked in very late, and the room was warm and smelled of animals when we checked in, but that is likely because the air had not been running. It took a while for the room to cool off, and the unit kept shutting off which is annoying and affects sleep. Breakfast was a very basic continental - but again - at $117, that's ok. Very nice, clean, updated rooms. The staff was pleasant and competent and helpful and the price was ok. The breakfast options were a bit limited but the coffee was good, bagels very good and apples super crunchy. They also had cereals and yogurt but no bacon and eggs.
Rooms are alright, but no microwave or coffee maker in Rooms. Not even a microwave on each floor. You have to go down to the front desk to use one. The location is outside the city of Tupelo with a Highway running in front of it. To get there you have to snake thru a truck stop area. Not a good location at all.
