I love this place! – My girls and I get together and enjoy the best margaritas and pizza at Spanky's. This is my favorite restaurant and it's so close to my mother's house. The USAF loves Spanky's!
A fine place for a date or weekday lunch. – Though Spanky's has something of the annoying Chili's/ Bennigan's decor, it's relaxing and cool with great pizza (probably the best in town since the demise of Uno's on Kirby). It's been there for years before the Gulfgate reinvention, the prices are good (especially for lunch) and very few people outside of SE Houston know of it.
How Rude!!! – I called the restaurant to place a "too go" order. They put me on hold for more than 4 minutes. When they finally came back to the phone, they were very short. I had a question about an entree, she put me on hold again. Another person got back on the line, and explained the way the entree came prepared, so fast, that I couldn't undersatnd a word. SOOOOOOOOOOOO good – Spanky's might not look like it has the best pizza in town, but it DEFINITELY DOES. The pizza is made EXACTLY as you order it...the right amounts of cheese and whatever toppings you ask for. Definitely better than Star, Fuzzy's, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, etc. The place has a cozy, homely atmosphere---a great place to just hang out and enjoy pizza made exactly how you want it. DELICIOUS italian plates too.
