My son LOVES the pancakes. No matter the time of day, they always make them for him. I love the seafood gumbo and catfish chips. Delish everytime!!

We travel from Bayou Vista, La. to eat the delicious food at Spahrs. This is always one of our top choices when we want to eat out. The food at service is always great!!
So I have a pretty horrible shellfish allergy and am super cautious about where I get fish from due to cross contamination concerns. I may have had to wait a little longer for them to clean and change out the grease but Spahr's Downtown Thibodaux did an amazing job of being extra considerate about my food tonight. I highly recommend them to any other families that have to deal with shellfish allergies. The food was delicious and I felt confident that I was going to be okay eating the food they served us. Not that I don’t recommend it, I like to eat on the healthier side so I got the seafood salad. I have been a fan of Sphar’s as long as I can remember. The seafood salad used to be top of the line. I was there 2 days ago. One time they put so much artichokes in it, that’s all you could taste.. It’s served in a dinner plate with no depth, very very little crabmeat and only 6 not even quite medium shrimp on romaine lettuce but I like to mix my salad and then it falls on the table.I paid over $15.00 for it. I had the gumbo, the crawfish etouffee and the bread budding. It was absolutely delicious! Gracie did a heck of a job at the bar keeping me refilled. Great atmosphere and even better people. Definitely recommend.
