I visited the Spa at Four Seasons Calistoga with high expectations, given the reputation and setting. While the grounds and atmosphere are beautiful and the staff was genuinely very nice and welcoming, the massage itself was underwhelming. The pressure was fine, but there was very little flow to the treatment. Had a disappointing experience at Spa Talisa. The grounds were gorgeous and the masseuses were wonderful, but the overall experience was a let down. We booked two Terrafirma massages ahead of time but did not receive a confirmation email (it turns out the email address they had was incorrect, otherwise I would have let them know that one of the massages being a Serenity massage was incorrect). Our experience was average at best. My wife and I had a couples massage here, but we’ve had much better experiences elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet our expectations.
