If you haven't been to Soyumi Asian Kitchen yet, please stop everything you're doing and go now. I've been to top dollar Asian Fusion restaurants all over the country and this blew me away. The ramen with pork was AMAZING and the sushi was some of the freshest I've ever had. I never get sashimi on my first trip to a sushi place because I never know how fresh it is and now I'm disappointed that I missed out this time because the yellowtail was flawless. I LOVED this place!! The atmosphere is very nice, service was excellent, and the Asian fusion menu is impressive. We tried several small plates, as well as sushi and sashimi- it was presented beautifully, and everything was DELICIOUS. By far the best Asian cuisine in Statesboro. Soyumi is truly a great experience and I can't wait to get back very soon!
I was disappointed in this restaurant. The inside looks nice, but I found plastic in my sushi roll. I was literally chewing plastic. The waitress was nice about it, even though our service was slow due to how many tables our server had. There's not a huge selection to choose from; however, my boyfriend got the Thai Noodle Curry, and that was the only thing we liked here.
The facility is very nice. Customer service was good. Sushi was great. Food was bland. Desert was good. Sweet tea was not sweet at all. Might give it another shot after they figure everything out.
