Super apartments, old building, close to DT The Sovereign was the first apartment building my husband and I lived in when we moved to Seattle. The building was built back in the 1920's and a few (not all) of the apartments have really old style features. Luckily, ours did. The building is located on Boren Ave, wich is on First Hill and is about 10 blocks or so uphill from Downtown---meaning, walking TO downtown is easy since you're going downhill. Don't Live Here! When we first moved in, it was a great, cute little building to live in. They only let you sign a 6-month lease, and after that is up, you live month-to-month. The only problem with that is, the management company started raising our rent $75-$150 every six months. After they fired the on-site managers the place rapidly declined even more.
