best vet This is the perfect place to take your animals. From the time you walk in, till you walk out, you feel loved by everyone that works here. The doctors that treat our animals have the perfect tone of voice to work with animals. They are very patient with animals and it shows. This is a very clean place.
Has been my vet for years. Great rates and nice people! I have been going to Southwood Animal Hospital for years and have always been very happy with the service. Their rates are VERY competitive and they have fit me in when I felt my dog Jake had to be seen right away. I have been to other vets in the past but Southwood will be my veterinarian of choice for years to come, as long as I live in the Middle Georgia area.
RecommendedBeen going to Southwood for 20 years. Enough said!

Everyone has been so helpful and they never make me feel rushed. Dr. Williams especially takes the time to answer ALL of my questions and takes our needs into consideration when making a treatment plan. They were especially great when I lost my Penny back in June. They were very patient and helpful when it came to finding a proper burial box for her.
I have been going there for a long time. Dr. Willams has always been very helpful in many ways. Lisa and Melody are also a blessing. They are fantastic groomers and they take a photograph of each dog they groom that day. Nanette is very knowledgeable and has been helpful in making decisions about flea and other medicines.
Everyone at southwood is the best! Dr Williams ALWAYS goes above and beyond on doing what ever is the best thing for my animals!
Dr. Williams was absolutely the rudest vet I have ever dealt with. They treated our dog and gave us a print out of work that needed to be done that was like $1,500. Our dog is old and vomiting everyday and has multiple issues. We made an emergency appointment today to have her put down and I was told that if we had money to put her down then we could pay everything that they said needed to be done. Dr. Williams said she couldn’t put her down with her looking at her with those eyes. So she calls my mother in law whose husband... read more

I’m sorry there was miscommunication today . When the appointment was made , there was no mention of euthanasia - just that she was not feeling well and needed to be rechecked . Your in-laws have been clients for a while and when what you were asking me to do didn’t seem consistent with what she had expressed , I had to call her to clarify what her wishes were . She agreed to see if her medicine was making her sick before considering euthanasia . If there is concern about quality of life and end of life choices , they must b... read more

I am so thankful to have these wonderful people to take care of our family furbabies. When our sweet Pooh passed away they did so much to make us feel at peace. all of the staff were so sweet to him when he would come in. Now we have our sweet Phoebe and they turned her into a princess after she was found roaming the streets. they have her healthy and beautiful. The care and live they pass along to your babies is so generous. thank you for taking care of our babies.
