Be careful, the charge a LOT of money for the first visit without warning, even as an in network provider. Also if you are going in to just check things out/meet the doctors, be sure to use the word 'consultation', otherwise they charge you full visit rate and are 100% unwilling to make any exceptions. Very nice office staff, and the doctor was kind as well. But the total operation and our experience was poor. We will not be using them for any births.
The professionals at Southwest Midwives are my new heroes. This team of superwomen are knowledgeable, badass, nurturing, empathetic and personable, and I can’t imagine having a better experience. I have gone through 2 pregnancies and births with southwest midwives, and I loved my experience both times. When I had my first, I felt respected and heard with all my “new mom” concerns and questions.

I live in a remote part of the state and researched delivery options from Grand junction, to Montrose, to Cortez, but SW midwives in Durango was the winner. This group of women is so caring, compassionate, and smart. I trusted them from the beginning and it paid off.
