The food is great and the place is a real shrine to the Corps and other Great Americans. We are retired Marines so we may be called blind to any faults the place may have,(there are none.)
I have been a regular there for over 20 years. The food is always hot and fresh and have many different takes on southern American classics. Not to mention their unique creations that are both delicious but ample in size. The atmosphere, even after the flood and fire, remain something to behold. Not your traditional five star restaurants, but I give it five stars because of the fast friendly service, ice cold drinks, and arguably the best food not only in Slidell but in this region!
I like this place.. I try something different everytime I go there. So far I haven't had anything I didn't like.

Had a oyster po boy to go. Very good. Breading on oysters was perfect. Just the way I like it. Not thick and crunchy like some. Oh how I wish we had oysters like that in Missouri. We were visiting from out of state. Had a mufulatta the day before and it was very good also.
