Southside Cafe is a Slidell treasure! They take the time to do it right! Food is always delicious. HUGE portions, Great service, great atmosphere! Ask for Bobby, he is a personable amazing server!
So glad we drove a little ways from our hotel instead of going to a fast food place around us. Sure we pd more than fast food, but good food, large portions, friendly and fast service made it totally worth it!
Wanted to get out of NO before lunch so Slidell was as far as we made it, but we found a little gem - try the POBoys the bread makes the sandwich!!!!

Visited here on Saturday night, ordered the muffuletta . Extremely disappointed in the sandwich. There was hardly any ham or cheese and it was burnt on the ends. The waitress didn’t come by. She just disappeared until the time for the check
Always great food and service. Again I had the tortilla soup with a Ruben sandwich. My favorite on the menu, but when very Hungary I order the Pork Chops with stuffed potato.When my daughter lived in Slidell I ate there more often. I too live 3 hours further to mid Louisiana but come to Southside as often as I can. Best ever menu with many choices.

Everything! Food, service, and cocktails are all top shelf.
