Both of my dogs have received excellent care here at Southpaw Vet. I would say the care is expensive, however I have found that good vet care is pretty expensive everywhere these days. I am low income, so the vets at Southpaw are always willing to work with me as far as giving me paper prescriptions so that I can fill them at Costco for a cheaper price, etc. I really appreciate that. I had a nice experience here. I just moved to SD a couple weeks ago and my dog got sick. I called Southpaw and they were able to get us in same day, even though I wasn’t an established client. Everyone working there was personable and the facility is gorgeous. A lot of the reviews say this vet is expensive. Really though, what vet isn’t expensive? We’ve lived in 4 cities and veterinary care is always pricey. Southpaw laid it out for me - this is the minimum we recommend now and how much it costs, and if we need to go further... read more
