Rude Unprofessional Neglectful – There is a Southland Properties rental home on my block that has had 7 different tenants in 5 years. It once was a nice looking home but now it isn't. Southland Properties doesn't do any maintenance including lawn maintenance which the tenants are responsible for. I have called the office at least 5 times this year encouraging them to check on this property - several other home owners have as well. Rude – I have to agree with most comments. I could never get anything fixed and when I would call they seemed unconcerned and extremely rude. The customer service is horrible. There are plenty of properties available in Baton Rouge - rent from someone else.
AWFUL-AWFUL-AWFUL – I AGREE WITH THE PAST TWO REVIEWS. WISH MORE PEOPLE WOULD REVIEW THIS COMPANY BECAUSE EVERYONE THAT I HAVE MET THAT HAS DEALT WITH THEM IS NOT HAPPY. THEY GET YOU IN A PLACE, THEN ARE TOO BUSY TO RETURN YOUR CALLS. ESPECIALLY CHRIS DUMESTRE. MY OPINION IS THAT HE IS ABOUT ALL MONEY. MY OPINION IS ALSO THAT HE IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. IF YOU ARE DEALING WITH ANY OTHER COMPANIES OUT THERE, STAY WITH THEM.
The Worst Service I Have Ever Had – For months I have tried to get the house I rent fixed from damage from the previous tenants. I was told to make a list and the things would be fixed. I have had to come out of pocket to try to make this house look some what decent in the area. I wont even invite friends over because of the condition of the property. I would advise people to take what these people say with a grain of salt and a aplication for a Lowes card. I hope you can get approved for a big limit.
Southland serves owners not renters – Last commentator works for Southland. Take nothing she says as reality. We've been waiting months for a gate to be up and running in a so-so neighborhood. Residents feel unsafe. Southland does a lousy job preparing apartments for your arrival, and yet they demand us to be complete on our inspections upon departure (including payment for professional carpet cleaning). My place was a mess, and months later, I am still trying to get things fixed. I will NOT BE RENEWING my lease.
very nice and professional – I rent from Southland Properties and I think they are awesome!!!!!! I love my townhouse! Whenever I report maintenance to be done, it is taken care of.
