I am very surprised by the other reviews. I want to say that I have been a part of Southland Credit Union for over 15 years and I truly have never had a bad experience. Now I will say since mobile banking became available I do not go into the bank the way that I used to, but overall I haven’t had any issues and when I do call, they’re very kind and helpful. And when I did go into the bank, I always had Rosie and she was an amazing bank teller, so sweet and kind.
I opened a joint account for my toddler and was told two parents could be on her account. I was the only parents that ever physically entered the branch and other parent emailed info. We were told repeatedly that all three (3) of us had access to toddlers account. I was also forced to open my own account, which I did and set up auto deposit. I opted out to the overdraft coverage because I only planned in using it for deposits and to transfer money into toddlers account. Not even 4 months later, my card was fraudulently used ... read more

They will definitely waste your time , one of the worst banking experiences. I put in for a few loans over a month ago kept getting emails saying I was approved, then they finally got back to me telling me those emails were computer generated and that they countered offer my asking request. Told me I was approved to move forward had me at car lots looking at cars , spoke to my lenders about the funding coming their way . Had me do all this stuff then had me waiting for over a month just to keep saying it’s under review then ... read more
