I can't say enough good things about my experiences with Southgate Gardens Apartments. From my initial contact with Shannon through the move in process she and her team have been tremendously patient, helpful, responsive and caring. If you are exploring potential apartment communities in the Newark, DE area I would highly recommend you consider Southgate Gardens.

I have appointments with them last Friday afternoon. However, as I showed up that day, they closed their leasing office and nobody showed up. Also, nobody answered my phone call so I ended up going there from a different state can’t see. They didn’t follow up after the visit. It was such an awful experience especially there was a tenant or someone who hit my car as well. There was no camera which is not a good and safe living environment.
I walked-in to talk about availability and the property. I was given a quick tour of the unit downstairs of the leasing office. Not really much opportunity to ask any questions and were not informed much about the property amenities. The lady seemed in a rush and a bit “get to the point” attitude, which made me uncomfortable. Her attitude concerned me for possible communication issues if I were to rent there.
