I finally gave up trying to fix my yard myself and called in a landscaping crew. Best decision ever. They showed up with a full team and knocked out all the overgrown weeds in the front and backyard. They edged everything nicely and even helped plant some flowers I bought but never got around to. My yard looks totally different now. The neighbors even stopped to compliment it.
