I was here when I was 13 years old and it was one of the most shittiest times I've ever had im my life the staff were abusive and everything was out of control they put me on a bunch of meds and we rarely went outside maybe once or twice and everytime someone was acting out or did something in even the slightest way that pissed the staff off they would make you sit in a corner and call it "timeout" for days at a time and if you were misbehaving they wouldn't give you your food and if you missed out then they would give it to... read more
Worst place ever. I'm still traumatized by it 13 years later... Had to sleep on the cold hard floor with the lights on. They watched me use the restroom, even grown men. Was forced to sit in a chair staring at the wall for 2 days straight because they found a pencil within 2 feet of my sleeping spot (I wasn't allowed to have pencils) Lost phone call privileges for 2 weeks for being "racist" (I said if madea is in a movie you know it'll be funny) I was there for three months and only went outside one time for 10 minutes 🥹 pl... read more
Went here as a young teenager and was constantly physically assualted for speaking my mind and could not physically defend myself. I saw multiple other patients being assaulted and being initimdated. Also the female counselor I had told staff about whqt I had talked about with her. Going against confidentiality and then having me punished for being defensive. I saw a staff member slam and drag a kids head in the corner of the wall and slid down cutting his eqr open and bleeding all over the wall and floor I remeber smelling ... read more
I went there when I was like maybe 11. I hated it there the best place I went was either red River youth academy, or cedar ridge. I’ve been to 4 different places I was here for anger aggression defiance and depression. While I was here my depression got worse like so bad that every night I would bite my arm so hard that it would leave marks in my arms for weeks and I tried to / myself here for the first time. I hate this place. When we go outside the fenced area is so small like you can’t even play a normal game of kickball ... read more
