I have had nothing but caring and doting nurses and drs and staff take care of me from same day surgery to recovery to SCVU unit. I have always had great care from SOMC.
I wouldn't go anyplace but SOMC...They have an awesome staff of Nurses & Doctor's there to help you in any situation.
SOMC pediatric is a disgrace. I was informed because I wasn't bringing all my kids to see their doctors don't be surprised if next time you call for an appointment we don't take your child anymore. Word for word. Took everything in me to keep my mouth shut & have a cooling off period. Who do they think they are ? Pretty sad if you ask me. The all mighty $$ wins again. So they thought I should move the other 3 who have another doctor because they won't accept Amelia anymore well guess what I'll never darken their doors again.... read more
Had not been there for awhile but had a major problem come up! From the minute I entered tues thru Friday was treated like royalty! I was always taken seriously and very soon found out my life was in danger ! Everyone was courteous and professional! Tests were run and was operated on the next day by noon! I prayed and said do what you have to and they all did! I avoid hospitals, doctors, and uneccessary medication like the plague. I was forced to come here for a pretty serious (at the time) issue i was having with my rib. That said, just skip this place if you can. I had my surgery done here. My Doc was great, my nurses were great.. the experience not so much. They're more worried about covering their own asses than taking care of you. They forget about you as soon as the deed is done and you're on your own to suffer after.. unless of course, you're like me and have to go in again... read more
Mom was greeted by friendly helpful staff that showed us where we needed and a valet even parked our car! By 11 am she was being wheeled into surgery and by 1 pm we were on our way home.
Great MD but should not have to sit and wait 3 hrs to be seen ! But be 15 min late and they will reschedule you !!!
Loved my nurses on maternity floor when I was giving birth/in labor. Love the nurses on SVCU. Can't wait to be a nurse at SOMC! Graduate this spring. ✊
Amazing place/Amazing people!! In hereby w and had surgery yesterday afternoon, the staff here at SOMC have been helpful and very kind!!!!
