Carlos C After Hurricane Irma we were left without a dock so my wife and I went on a search for a Company that would rebuild it. Yesterday morning when I woke up and looked at the finished product I knew we had chosen the right Company. The process that took about 9 months, primarily due to permitting, was a great experience. I would recommend Southern Marine hands down.
I have been using this company since 1986. They are fair and honest. They rebuilt my dock after Andrew and again after Irma. These guys do expert workmanship,with attention to detail and beautifully done. I am so pleased. After Andrew I asked the owner why he didn't just hire a bunch of workman and make a killing. Their own website does not list a service area other then all of Dade County. 33176 is in Dade County Young lady on the phone was clear that they do not serve this area. Was rude and short on the phone about travel distances. Was rude and short about the recommendation to fix their Yellowpage listing. Despite good reviews I would not use this company or recommend them to others. Anyone rude during a misunderstanding is not a good person. WHEN I NEEDED A BOATLIFT AND MY DOCK REPAIRED(REPLACED) i INTERVIEWED SEVERAL MARINE CONTRACTORS. tHEY GAVE ME A FAIR PRICE, DID IT RT THE FIRST TIME AND IT LOOKS AND WORKS GREAT!!!
