Good morning my name is Mark Conway and I was ambulance to your emergency room on the sixth stay there the seventh and went to room 340 on the eighth spent a couple of days there at room 340. I had a tremendous overbearing pain level on my left wrist which could not be touched at all in severe pain in my lower abdomen. Had a CAT scan with contrast and found a stone in my bladder. Agree with Jennifer Holton review below, RUN for your LIFE! This is the absolute worst hospital in the history of mankind. Spouse came in ER for Sepsis treatment and was operated on (that part was good, Dr Flick is amazing.) However, once admitted to second floor it went downhill from there. Nurses rough handling of the patient (never getting her centered in bed), leaving food trays out of reach knowing full well she can't even move her arms to grab it and eat. Dec 30, 2022, 7:44 PM St David's South Austin Medical Center: "Worst ER in Austin. BP is 184/127 with a resting heart rate of 104. Said my blood sugar was good. IT was actually tested at another ER. It was 341. Doctor refused any pain medication but Tylenol.Said it could be a Fibromyalgia Flair. This is the worst hospital we have experience in our life.On Thursday December 15th 2022 around 4 pm .My wife and I arrived in the ER because my wife had a very high blood pressure and was feeling weak and dizzy.She was seen by Triage nurse almost 2 hours later sitting in the waiting room.Her blood pressure was 198 /135 which was very high .The ER doctor Adam Gittleman said after running some test he will start treatment. My 91 year old mother with Dementia was in the ER at FWB hospital awaiting a room upstairs most of the 9 hours after they determined early she had a faulty pacemaker and it needed replacement. I left for an hour to get her fresh cloths after being there all day. While I was gone they did not properly monitor her and she fell out of her unsecured bed while on telemetry and severely injured her elbow and shoulder and setting off 3 alarms in the one hour I had left her room. Being a mother, I have had my share with ER visits. I have been to this hospital too many times to name; not only for myself, my kids, but my grandparents as well. It has always been a great experience under the circumstances, until last night. I have never in my life seen such a display of incompetence in staff and facilities.
