I usually find the nursing staff to be kind and helpful, but the nurse Mrs. Satvir was exceptional. She worked so hard to help us out I wanted to share my experience and express my gratitude.
Unbelievable that we don't have a decent ER in the Panama City Beach area. This ER doctor just purely lied to us. They said after taking a CT scan of abdomen that there was colitis. Gave us extremely strong antibiotics. Never did any blood test to see if there was an infection. Got no better so went to Birmingham, AL emergency room. They found no infection so therefore no colitis. I guess the doctors who don't meet the standards are sent to the ER's in PCB. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANYTHING. My son went here for a simple sprained wrist. After my insurance coverage, they billed us another $1100 plus another $100 from the physician's group that saw him in their facility. COMPLETE SCAM.
Worst rat hole I've ever been in . Always excuses and delays . They lie they and treat you like a lab rat . Give you medicine that you explicitly tell them not to give you from previous bad reactions. Staff were almost entirely kind and professional. One exception was a vulgar tech in the surgical suite who swore repeatedly, apparently unaware or indifferent that the patient could hear every word. He also blindly waved scissors in the patient's face under the surgical drape. But that's minor. THE WRONG DEVICE WAS SURGICALLY IMPLANTED.

We got to the ER Hospital in Panama City on 23rd street this morning at 9:00 am. It has been 4 and 1/2 hours now and we are still in the waiting room. The employees do not know what is going on and don’t seem to care. Do yourself a favor and DON’T COME HERE!!!!!
Beware the parking structure at Medical City. Instead of having a payment method involving either human beings or a kiosk that takes credit cards, the hospital uses Metropolis Parking, which requires a smart phone and payment through access to a QR Code. That's fine for people who understand it, but not everyone has a smart phone and those who do do not always know how to use a QR Code. I have been getting MRIs done for years at South Shore. I have a stimulator in my back and I am limited where I can go. South Shore was one of those places. I just had an MRI done in December. Now, they claim they can't do it. I now have to go to Tampa to get one done. The team never spoke to me. I had to jump through hopes just to try to get an appointment, which I never got.
