I have had many pets over my 70 years of life and Dr. Preston and Mary Thornton and their staff are the best. Their love for animals and their dedication and compassion far surpasses others. They are there in the good and bad times and are always available to answer any questions you may have about the care of your babies. When Daisy was so sick, I could call them any time, day or night and there was someone to answer my questions about her condition. I trust their skills and their staff with the well-being of my baby.
We recently moved to Roanoke and it is so hard to trust someone with your babies. The entire staff and Dr. Preston Thornton at Southern Hills was very nice and put me at ease that my fur baby was in good hands. Thank you to all of you for helping us.
Dr. Preston and his staff brought my girl Muffy back from a serious illness. The whole staff is so loving and caring. Bless all of them.
I took my dog, Bosco to Southern Hills today. I am very glad I picked this vet! They fit me right into their schedule with short notice.

When we came in we were taken right in, did the paperwork quickly, we didn't wait at all.Everyone there was exceptional!! Very personable, friendly and knowledgeable! The other good part of this place is the price. When I left I definitely felt like I got my moneys worth and I wasn't overcharged.
I take my dog there and they are always so good with her. I had to leave her one day for further testing and to be monitored, and when I came back the staff had her behind the desk making sure she felt comfortable. She's a very nervous type dog and doesn't do well in strange places, so I'm guessing that's why they kept her up front. They always go by MY pocketbook, not theirs....they never push more testing unless it's absolutely necessary. I love love love this vet! I always get super nervous going to new places with my pets. Moving to Vegas, I didn't have a Vet yet to take care of my girls. My dog pixie fell sick & needed to go see a vet ASAP. I went on to yelp to find a vet in my area that I could take my girl to, I read all the reviews about the Dr & was sold. Best hospital hands down. From booking on the phone to the check out our entire experience was flawless. I know what to look for behind the scenes and this place is clean and professional, we're moving to Green Valley soon but I'm willing to make the drive. Prices are competitive and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. B and her staff are awesome! :)
