I am a nurse and I recently had some concerning visual symptoms. I knew these could be symptoms of a serious problem and I was terrified. I did not have an appointment and I had never been to Southern Eye before but I walked in and was treated kindly at the front desk. They listened to me and worked me in. This I appreciated so much! Ran an hour past my scheduled appointment time. Routine eye exam took over an hour to complete. Extremely poorly managed office. Would absolutely suggest elsewhere. Do not plan on returning even if it means paying out of pocket elsewhere rather than using insurance.
I have called 3 times trying to make an appointment in the Greer office. I received 1 call back but, it was several hours later and I had left the house. I have always used Southern Eye but, if it is going to be this hard to make appointment I'll have to find a new Eye Doctor.
We love Dr. Odell! He is such a compassionate man! He displays patience in helping a girl like me overcome my fears of eye doctors. Because he was thorough in my eye exam last year, he found a tumor. He has even offered to be my advocate and follows me through my journey of my cancer! He is definitely the type of doctor anyone would be lucky to have!!
Can't say enough abt Dr. Reardon and the whole staff! I was a work in and when I went to the front desk the girl called me by name...knew I was coming in as a workin from Emergency MD. And assumed I would have to wait. Nope!!! They got me right back ...the wait time was null! Everyone was nice, efficient, competent and professional. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work!
Staff is very slow. What was suppose to be a 10 minute visit has turned into an hour. Just to reorder a pair of glasses. Won't come back here unless they speed up their process.
The optometrist team is fantastic, but the front desk has left me disappointed on a number of occasions. Firstly, suggesting 48 hours before my appointment that my long standing appointment wouldn't be covered by my insurance. Their mistake; it was. My paid year prescription of contacts was lost in the mail. Finally, they offered a sample pair of contacts and were held at an office is never been to. I waited a half hour at Greer to see IF they had my prescription in order to offer me a sample while I wait on a reorder of my ... read more
