DO NOT EVER use this place. The work Southern Diesel did was good. But, they are not honest or stand by their word. I thought I needed a u joint and hub bearing on the driver side. (The passenger side was replaced a couple months ago). So, I asked them to look at it and give me a price. I was quoted 990.00. I said fine go ahead and do the work. I go to pick up the truck and the cost is 1320.26 . She said that she had to pay the other shop a diagostic fee. 330.26??… See more
Brought my 15 yr old worn an battered truck down an got nothing,but honest, fair priced service from people who stand behind their work. What else is there to ask for....I read afew reviews that were bad. That comes with every business, but to the writers. Maybe it was you, or maybe it was maybelline. Well I brought my truck there to get diagnosed. Told them don’t do anything until contacting me (I didn’t want to pay for something I could do myself) I get a call saying it cost $500 to “get it started” and would be $6000 to change the rear main seal!! (I brought it there for an oil leak). I go to pick it up and the total is $565. I look under the hood and it’s missing a radiator cap and won’t start! No, you were billed for the time we had in it trying to get it started after it had been sitting for quite some time. After getting it started (which required filling it with oil since it was 2 gallons low) we were then able to find all your oil leaks, and other problems. You were quoted to repair everything that was wrong with it (the rear engine cover which includes the rear main seal, the head gaskets and bulletproofing). My sister was charged 100 dollars in fees to pay with a credit card. Which left her with 15 dollars to her name. I’m sorry but NO GOOD COMPANY WOULD DO THAT TO A PERSON. I would just like everyone in the world to know that Southern Diesel in Gonzales Louisiana charge me $100 worth of fees just for using my credit card instead of cash. I don't think it is fair at all, they just wiped out my bank account so I could get my truck back that has been sitting over there for a month and a half waiting to be able to be paid for.
