So then they told me if I left they'd call the cops. I asked what was I supposed to do? They said get your license. I said, I can't because you won't LET me go get it! I left at 1:30am to drive home, while crying over my loss, to get my license to fax it to them. I lived alone so my cat had been my home buddy. They called the police on me. I had to drive back at 3 am, 25 minutes each way, on the night my cat died, to show them my driver's license. This was in August 2017. I only now can talk about it, a year and a half later.... read more

9k dollars is what it cost me. My dog had a mass that was 65% cancer and it was best to put him down. Gilbert is extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. My dog never had cancer.... My dog was sent home with a neck injury and 15 pounds lighter in 4 days. It's ALL ABOUT MONEY.

ZERO STARS. BEWARE AND BE AWARE! In a life threatening situation, be prepared to shell out big money or euthanize. Be prepared to be held hostage until you pay them IN FULL before they even start the procedure, or you can put your pet down. This is exactly what happened to our family when we brought out cat in after she was attacked by a dog. Luckily, the dog owner paid for the procedure, or else we would not have been able to at least TRY to save our cat. The doctor kept pushing euthanasia in front of my young daughter, eve... read more

First let me point out... Upon walking in, a document is shoved in my face with big bold letters. HOW MUCH ARE YOU WILLING TO SPEND TO SAVE YOUR PET. They want a number so they can charge you that amount. I will never go to this place again! After receiving a drug from another emergency vet the same night, my dog immediately started panting and having problems breathing. Instead of taking her back to the vet who gave her a medication she should not have had bc of a heart murmur, I took her here. First thing they ask is for $... read more

PLEASE BEWARE BEWARE - BEFORE TAKING YOUR LOVING ANIMAL HERE ! My unthinkable experience happened on 2-15-18. My 7-1/2 year old pomchi (Jeter), was not feeling well on Monday before we were introduced to SO CAL where my Jeter would be put to rest. On Monday he was diagnosed with diabetes DKA and possible cushions, we started treatment the next day at our VET, on Wednesday 2-14-18 I picked him up from vet and noticed his breathing was bad, so took him to OC emergency where they gave him oxygen and sedated him so he would calm... read more

This place is a rip off. The front desk staff members are unprofessional and rude. The managed, Gilbert is an unprofessional ***** who has no compassion for animals. When my dog died, he offered no condolences. We specifically asked the vet to tell us PRIOR to the operation of our dog that they would operate on him. My dog was in critical condition. Instead of doing that, they operated on him without telling us. They called us AFTER the operation to tell us that they were done with the operation and that my dog only had a co... read more

Very poorly run office. I called for an appointment with the oncologist after our regular veterinarian found a lump on our dog. We had been to Blue Pearl once before with no problem. This time, however, I called from the veterinarian's office and was given an appointment for two days later. My husband and I both rearranged our work schedules to take our dog into Blue Pearl--only to be told when we arrived that there was no record of an appointment. I showed them the call log on my cell phone. The young man at the front desk ... read more

Business response:

Client was accommodated and a new appointment scheduled the very next day. We apologized as we had no record of the client scheduling appointment. The client came in the next day and had her pet examined as planned.

My dog needed an overnight monitoring and fluid. When we picked him up the next morning he was covered in diarrhea. They made him sit in his own feces all night. We were paying them to take care of him and they couldn't even take 1 minute to wipe him up. He now has a raw behind. His vet and our family were very dissatisfied by the care he received. Multiple Google reviews have also been posted of others negative experience. I believe they should be investigated.
