They lost my title and basically told me it’s my problem. There are too many dealerships in Hampton Road to deal with poor customer service like Southern.
Have never been the type to leave a review for a business but after the year of hell I’ve had, I want to warn everyone to stay far, far away from Southern. Less than a month into owning the car I bought from them, the check engine light came on and I went to a mechanic. Basically everything under the sun was wrong with the car, it should not have passed inspection, and the tires were old and dry-rotted. Cameron, James, and Carlos are the best.. I was looking for a pre-owned car and they worked it out and I drove off the lot with a brand new car. My sons and I are grateful for them
My husband bought a truck from them. We waited there until 11 pm. We eventually came to a compromise. They told us they will pay off our car for the trade in and give us some money for the first two months of payment for the truck. We signed a document that stated this by the way. He still hasn’t got a check from them. They also said they will do maintenance on the truck and fix the crack in the window. The crack still isn’t fixed. 9/29/2025 On arrival to Southern Buick service department, I was immediately greeted by Antwan / Service Adviser. I explained my concerns over the tire pressures sensors. He moved the vehicle to a bay area and did a diagnostic check. He was very efficient. The ride was much smoother.
