I'll just say that Toyota will never ever ever ever get another penny of my money again! I have bought Toyotas for 40 years! I've never had a problem with them but as soon as I have a problem with them I saw what they're really about! Financing through Southeast Toyota Finance (SETF) has been one of the worst financial decisions I’ve ever made. They make it easy to get a loan, but that’s just the bait, once you're in, they hit you with hidden fees and ridiculous charges that keep adding up. I have two payments left on my car so I thought I would call Southeast Toyota Finance customer service and pay it off to move the title a little faster - BUT of course they make the pay-off process so DIFFICULT that you might as well just let it ride and let them keep doing the autopay from your bank account until the bitter end. I'm sure they don't want you to pay off the car early because that hurts their bottom line. Never mind "ease of doing business"!! The folks answering the phone were pleasant though.
Leaving this because I also spoke with Toyota corporate office. Bough a car that had been wrecked before, and then had really bad shady/unprofessional work done to cover the HIDDEN DAMAGE. The car had bondo with the wreck pieces that were glued together. Im thinking this was because of the “HIDDEN DAMAGE”. Later had a minor collision that unfolded with the other car being at fault.
