Southeast title company made the already difficult process of closing on my deceased mother’s home unnecessarily harder. The communication was poor and the information provided was often vague or wrong.They made countless errors that if not caught by myself would have delayed closing. This company and its employees are not equipped to deal with transactions that involve estate accounts.
May be okay from a buyers standpoint, but as the seller they said they couldn't do a wire transfer of funds to our bank account! Really, in 2025 when much of the process is done electronically anyway?! Our agent was surprised to hear that as well. The paperwork from the mobile notary also had the wire transfer section crossed off as if it was an option, but they wouldn't allow it. Now we have to wait 7 days for the funds to clear since the bank has put a 7 day hold on the check. Go figure, why do a wire transfer when you can... read more
