At the clinic for an initial examination with no previous history at the location. During the visit no member of the staff notified me of their credentials or position during my visit (during this time I saw 3 different individuals). I was told the “doctor” would be in to see me at the end of my visit and quickly 3 minutes later was alerted that I would not be seeing the physician on an initial evaluation. I have BCBS advantage plan( medicare of tn) with a copay of ,$0 dollars. Vision plan is thru Eyemed,they are on line as PPO provider. Eyemed is the company contracted by BCBS to administer their vision from exam ,to paying for glasses, they cover $250 per year. Went for routine eye exam, Southeast eye associates wanted $45 for refraction fee, said medicare didn't cover refraction ,which is true,that's the 1st statement on medicare page 1. I loved that place at one time but now it's gone to hell in a hand basket

Went for routine eye exam, they wanted $45 for refraction fee, said medicare didn't cover refraction ,which is true,but I contacted Eyemed and they confirmed that the refraction( trying different angles of lens saying which is better 1 or 2), is a necessary part of routine exam to get the right prescription for glasses or contacts.
