I cannot recommend Southard Solar due to their lack of communication and professionalism. It’s been a very disappointing and frustrating experience over the last year. Almost exactly 1 year ago, I had a site visit to scope and quote my project. I showed them the house, garage, and wellhouse and explained how we wanted them to be powered and backed up with solar panels and a battery. Solar Shingles were installed and don't work at all. Doug (the owner) is unresponsive to calls, Trevor and Joe both contractors for Southard are also unresponsive to calls. We can't get anyone to come out and service them. This bad review is a last ditch effort to get some sort of attention to our problem. Update 7/15/22 still no word from Southard. I have a 1 year old solar system that has been having errors for over a month an dSouthard solar was not monitoring the system. I also have not been able to reach any one to address this. The 25year warranty is worthless.

I would think twice before working with this company. We signed a contract and provided them with a deposit in June. After many phone calls (and six months without any action), they said they would have to requote us and start at the beginning because our roof was not the material they were expecting. I asked for my deposit back. After many more conversations, they promised to fully refund my deposit from June.
