Especially if you have pet birds! My experiences with this veterinary group have been exceptional, no buts about it. I know they serve other animals as well, but for avian care and treatment they really are the best! Dr. Claire Fahy has tended to a couple of my birds both for wellness care as well as an emergency crisis ... what a honey! Her hands-on approach is wonderful and she speaks to you on your level. The staff is courteous, kind and welcoming *smile* Good telephone response for aftercare, too!
Highly Recommended! I love the vets at SWVG, especially Drs Fahy and Martin. The techs and support staff are terrific, too! I have five dogs of all ages and temperaments. It was important for me to find a vet who was close to home (because two of my dogs get carsick) and willing to handle a grumpy dog without shortchanging him healthwise. RecommendedMy rabbit has had bad symptoms of stasis for over a week now. He has already seen his normal vet locally, as well as had a two night stay at an ER hospital with minimal improvements. I called South Wilton Tuesday AM asking if an exotic specialist could be my baby and they got me in that same day. Dr. Maxwell was so kind, walked me through all of the details of the exams and tests, and gave me some real information and answers I needed. Absolutely loved this veterinary group, everyone was very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Masquera was amazing. He was informative, compassionate, and did very good with all my pets.
Everyone here was super kind and supportive when I had to put down my hedgehog since she was ill. They even sent me a sympathy card in the mail which was very touching. I recommend coming here with your pets, especially exotic ones they take good care of and know what they are talking about.
We have been going to South Wilton vet for a couple of years now and have had nothing but great experiences. Have seen several different doctors and have loved them all thus far. Their receptionist Megan is an absolute sweetheart! I called very concerned for my cat and by the end of the phone call she made me feel so at ease. She took her time and listened to all of my concerns with an open heart! Not once in the conversation did I feel rushed and she gave extremely helpful information!
Dr. Schunk cares for my 2 parrots, Peekaboo and Penelope. She is gentle with them as she performs their wellness exams and other services. She is very informative as she proceeds through the visit and I never feel rushed. Her vast knowledge of birds makes her a valuable asset to SWVG!
We have 8 rescues and they are treated with great care and compassion by SWV
