We stayed here as part of a emerald tours group a few days ago. We are a group of four who have travelled from Australia. The host Owen and Debra who had just taken ownership the day our Emerald tour group of 40+ arrived for an overnight stay. We were welcomed as soon as the coach stopped and when i introduced myself the owner Owen knew my name and that I needed my medication to be cooled by refrigeration and placed a small bar fridge in our room. Stayed for 3 nights. We enjoyed our stay as it was quiet and accommodating. There was even a very friendly dog in the lobby on occasion.

SCENERY & ROOMS Although the scenery was spectacular and the setting was peaceful, the rooms were outdated and the beds were VERY uncomfortable. It was difficult to sleep well on such old mattresses. MEALS & RECREATION The breakfast was included but we were told the restaurant was “under construction” so a bag with packaged food was offered to us and a juice pack. Having grown up in Kamloops, I always wanted to visit this place when I would see it from the other side of the highway. I had read about it being a “guest ranch“ and thought it would be very cool to stay there sometime. Finally got to go visit it and it is no longer a guest ranch (I was told the new owners sold the horses) but simply a hotel that maintains a skeleton crew through the winter.
