SCENERY & ROOMS Although the scenery was spectacular and the setting was peaceful, the rooms were outdated and the beds were VERY uncomfortable. It was difficult to sleep well on such old mattresses. MEALS & RECREATION The breakfast was included but we were told the restaurant was “under construction” so a bag with packaged food was offered to us and a juice pack. Having grown up in Kamloops, I always wanted to visit this place when I would see it from the other side of the highway. I had read about it being a “guest ranch“ and thought it would be very cool to stay there sometime. Finally got to go visit it and it is no longer a guest ranch (I was told the new owners sold the horses) but simply a hotel that maintains a skeleton crew through the winter. Beautiful and comfortable!
Great hospitality. The owner Owen has some great ideas to revitalize some landscaping and underused parts of the building. This resort has the potential to be greater than it ever was under his direction. We stayed because we were roads weary. I'm totally going back to. Thanks to all the staff.
