My 2026 Chevrolet was 4 months old. The CVT transmission started leaking. South Pointe did a service bulletin repair. Took it back after a week, still dripping. They put it on the rack and took me out there to show me they had fixed the leak. I used my flashlight on my phone and found the leak myself and showed them. He said "That's hard to see up there." I took my vehicle in for service bc I had a lifter knocking. They supposedly replaced the lifters, pushrods and cam. The day after I picked it up, the engine light came on. I took it back that day, and they had discovered a hose for the emission system had "popped off'." A few days later, I was heading out for a weekend at a lake when all of sudden, alarms started going off about low oil pressure. I immediately shut the truck off because there was ZERO oil pressure. I came in for an oil change. Was told it couldn’t be done because a helicoil drain plug on the oil pan had broken and the oil pan had to be replaced costing over $5700. I asked about any options for repairing the plug. They said there were not any. I purchased this truck in the spring of 2024. I have had the oil changed at South Pointe ever time- no where else. The only mechanics which have touched the oil pan plug are there. A helicoil can only be broken by misalignment or overtightening. Which means they did it. Repair opt... read more
Since Group 1 has appeared on the name for South Pointe Chevrolet, I feel that the customer service has declined and just not as friendly as when we started going there. The last oil change experience was just meh. Bob, our salesman, and Ken, the shuttle driver, are the friendliest and best there.
