Having experienced bird sites in Cornwall UK this met equally up to the standard , the number of species of wild life .the close proximity of the birds , the alligators for visitors to watch . I have visited the site twice in two days as it was so close to the hotel I was staying out . If I am ever back in the area this would be a priority stop .Hours of fun and excitement .
Beautiful boardwalk and map for the kids - plenty of wild birds (herons, egrets, water fowl) along with turtles, fish and Texan gators! Recommended for all ages!
It was an awesome experience! We started with a short documentary on the history of South Padre Island, then went on a tour showing many of the birds, plants and other creatures native to the marshlands. Fascinating!
the cattails are out of control. otherwise a great back to nature center
