This my third year on the Island. Love the Raptors every year. And weekend tours with Robert.
LeRoy and I are winter Texans from Minnesota, we always buy a season pass because we love visiting several times over the winter. We are always pleased and from one visit to the next we never know what we will see. We find the staff very friendly and the boardwalk easy to maneuver. We encourage others to visit the center. Every visit I walk away taking at least 200 photos.
I love getting close to the birds without getting wet or dirty.
Superb boardwalk with outstanding staff and a multitude of species. Highly recommended!
We visit the SPI Birding & Nature Center everytime we visit the island! You are sure to spot birds anytime of year, so many not found in other parts of the country. The venue of walking out over the shoreline marshes on a broad walk is just fabulous. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of 5 is that some visitors were feeding the birds even though there are signs posted not to do so.
