SMC is so many things. We are a dairy farm: we bottle our own milk, we make our own butter, yogurt, and ice cream. We also offer something very unique: the convenience of home delivery. Shop our online farmers market and have your products delivered to your door. Over the years we have grown to be the largest and most efficient home delivery business in the area. And now, we are not just supporting three generations of our farm family, but nearly 200 local sustainable farm families.

The kids 5 & 8 had a great time feeding the calves. The toddlers were happy looking at them. Then fantastic ice cream was had by all.

We made our first visit to the creamery today. The ice cream was phenomenal... but when we went in to see the calves we were appalled to see the treatment of the new horns. I get that it's a business but to see new born calves being thrown in and out of a John Deer gator? Then to be thrown in to a pin like a sack of waste? My family and I were disgusted. I can only imagine how they are treated when families and children are not around.

We are very sorry that this has occurred. We work hard to provide a clean and safe environment for our staff, guests, and farm animals. It disturbs us also that any animal on our farm is being mistreated. We will discuss this with our calf manager - and under go some retraining with her to make sure she is taking care of the calves appropriately. We really appreciate everyone's comments on this. This is 100% fixable - and can and will be corrected very quickly.
It was a neat experience. The first time i had ever fed baby cows. The ice cream was delicious. And i even bought a quart of milk. It was much better than the milk in the stores.
We went on a sunny Sat afternoon with our toddler. We had some delicious grilled vegetables from a food truck that my husband won't stop talking about. Our toddler couldn't get enough of seeing all of the cows. We even watched them get milked. I cannot wait to take her back one day soon to see the calfs eat from a bottle in the late afternoon.
