Dutch [Male House manager Before PHP Housing] was the only redeeming part of this program. My counselor refused to sign or soprove my addiction disability under ADA to a housing authority despite the fact I’m literally in a rehabilitation program. Thankfully, my case manager just took me to someone not up their own ass to confirm my disability. Every person I’ve known from this program has relapsed. Hard. Very cold, unpleasant place to be. I did not feel welcomed there at all. They wouldn't help me get ID so I couldn't get a job. Because I couldn't get a job without ID I got behind on rent. Couldn't buy groceries and they didn't provide any food. Counselor said that because I'm white I shouldn't have any problem finding a job. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This center is passionate and positive about helping those on the road to recovery. A friend was cared for here and it truly changed his life for the better. This is an amazing group of people who are supportive and provide the tools needed for successful recovery.
Highly relational program that was founded by individuals who truly care! Lives are being transformed!
Buyer beware. Get your fees/charges and paid items in writing up front and as you move through the treatment. I have excellent heath insurance through the City of Austin that covered everything, yet this company will not provide me with evidence of charges/paid in full. They continue sending me large invoices of many thousands of dollars.
