Dr. Furlong first saw me when I got a big toe removed and she walked into his hospital room saying “have u learned your lesson yet.” Then started calling my home at 8 AM telling me that I needed to make an eye doctor appt. I know when I need to go see an eye doctor. I was going for on a routine exam and were told without warning that I HAD Hep C. (by a Nurses Assistant.) Been going to the bethel park office off of higbee for years and has never disappointed me. Very straight to the point staff and always friendly. I highly recommend this location!

I have been going to South Hills Fam Medicine at the Waterfront for several years. I saw Dr. Furlong for a deep pain in my lower back, explained I had had several trauma's to this area. She did not listen to me, diagnosed it herself and sent me to physical therapy without first even doing any testing. Come to find out, I have two fractured bones to this area and the type of physical therapy I was doing was not the right type of excercises. This is clearly negligence in my opinion. I have been seeing Dr. Furlong at the Bethel Park location for several years and have been extremely impressed. I've always been able to get an appointment and have never had to wait too long in the waiting room. I love that all of my records are kept electronically. Not only does this provide ease in getting prescriptions, etc. I am able to have my records transferred promptly when needed. Also, I've used the Patient Portal when I've had questions, concerns or needs and have ALWAYS received a prompt response. Thumbs up for ... read more

Just visited this office a couple of days ago. I called around noon that day and they were able to fit me in for an appointment at 2:45 for my illness. That was a positive. Unfortunately, when I got there I had to wait almost an hour to see someone. The doctor was nice but basically talked to me like a 10 year old. Maybe they're used to doing that with kids, but I'm a grown adult. Be respectful to your patients. The guy that flushed out my ears was kind of odd and unprofessional. I have been using this practice for years for my whole family. I have never had a problem getting an appointment, usually within an hour of calling. We have been treated for many things of varying medical levels, and have never had a problem. The entire staff is caring and compassionate. They keep up with calling me with lab results and with calling to check in on the kids if they are sick. We do not abuse the office with frivolous questions or unnecessary visits. I made the mistake of going back to this office after they had me wait over 2 hours for a pulled stomach muscle! I ended up leaving that apportionment before even seeing a doc and going to the hospital! Today I went because I felt as if I had a sinus infection and strep throat! After the doc swabbed my throat she left and said if it was strep she would call in a scrip! She never once asked about my sinus issues and never checked anything else! This office is horrible and I agree with all other negative comments on this site!

I agree with the reviewer who gave them 1 star. I found the office staff to be very arrogant and snooty. They sent me a letter also dropping us from their practice and I'm pretty sure it's because I called for a prescription for antibiotics and couldn't come in to the office. I told them to just forget it when they insisted I had to come in and next thing I knew, I was no longer a patient.
